It also means to so intimately and fully loved by Christ. Scripture says "Men love your wives as Christ loves the Church." Christ loves his church. He gave his life for the Church- his bride. He is so passionate about his people. Think about it, if you're married with children, you want your kids to know that you really love your spouse. You display your affection for your spouse in front of your children and it helps to create a family home environment that is full of life.

Its no different with Christ. Christ wants the world to know how much he loves his church. He wants more than anything for his people to be displayed with the label of "fully, intimately loved" that draws the world in.
